आसाराम प्रकरण: व्यथित पीड़िता का मीडिया से सामना

शाहजहांपुर। आसाराम के खिलाफ न्याय की लड़ाई में सरकारी गवाह के रूप में संबल देने वाले हमदर्दो का दर्द देख बहादुर बेटी व्यथित हो गई है। गवाहों की हिम्मत बढ़ाने तथा आसाराम को उसके किए की सजा दिलाने के लिए पीड़िता ने मीडिया का सामना किया। कहा कि जमानत पाने के लिए आसाराम ने गवाहों को परेशान कराना शुरू कर दिया है। लेकिन उनके अरमान पूरे नहीं होंगे और किए की सजा जरूर मिलेगी।
मंगलवार को मीडिया से मुखातिब बहादुर बेटी ने कहा माता-पिता आसाराम को भगवान मानकर पूजते थे। वह खुद उन्हें गुरु के साथ ही अभिभावक मान कर भरोसा करती रही। लेकिन आसाराम ने मां-बाप के विश्वास का कत्ल कर दिया। जिन लोगों ने अन्याय के खिलाफ लड़ाई में साथ दिया, उन्हें आसाराम ने षड्यंत्र में फंसाने की कोशिश की।
पीड़िता ने पिता ने बताया कि दुष्कर्म प्रकरण के सरकारी गवाह महेंद्र चावला, अमृत प्रजापति और सतीश बाधवानी के खिलाफ आसाराम के इशारे पर अलग-अलग अदालतों में यौन उत्पीड़न का ही मुकदमा दर्ज कराया गया है। गवाहों को गवाही देने से रोकने के हर संभव प्रयास किए जा रहे हैं। पानीपत गुजरात निवासी महेंद्र चावला के खिलाफ लखनऊ में मुकदमा दर्ज कराकर परेशान करने की कोशिश की गई है। पीड़िता के पिता ने कहा कि बेटी ने गवाहों को परेशान किए जाने पर मीडिया का सामना करने की खुद पेशकश की। कहा कि आसाराम को किए की सजा दिलाने के लिए वह और उनका परिवार अंतिम सांस तक लड़ता रहेगा।

प्रवर्तन निदेशालय ने चांदखेड़ा स्थित आश्रम चलाने वाले आसाराम और उनके लोगों के खिलाफ आज धन शोधन रोकथाम कानून के तहत मामला दर्ज किया.
प्रवर्तन निदेशालय ने कहा कि मामला तब दर्ज किया गया जब सूरत पुलिस ने मामले को कमजोर करने के लिए आसाराम के पुत्र नारायण साई द्वारा चार महीने पहले 13 करोड़ रुपये की रिश्वत देने का भुगतान करने के एक षड्यंत्र का भंडाफोड़ किया.
प्रवर्तन निदेशालय एक यौन उत्पीड़न मामले में जोधपुर की जेल में बंद आसाराम और उनके पुत्र नारायण साई से जुड़े विभिन्न व्यक्तियों से आठ करोड़ रूपये नकद बरामद होने के बाद इस इस मामले की धन शोधन के कोण से जांच कर रहा है.
निदेशालय ने आज अंतत: आसाराम और उनके लोगों के खिलाफ भारत में अपने आश्रम चलाने के लिए औपचारिक तौर पर शिकायत दर्ज कर ली. चूंकि सूरत पुलिस द्वारा जब्त नकदी का कोई हिसाब किताब नहीं है, निदेशालय का मानना है कि आसाराम और उनके आश्रम कथित तौर पर भारत और विदेश में अपने नेटवर्क के जरिये धन शोधन गतिविधियों में लिप्त हैं.
सूत्रों ने कहा कि निदेशालय के अधिकारी आसाराम के अहमदाबाद स्थित आश्रम में छापे मार सकते हैं.

ED files case against Asaram under Money Laundering Act

Ahmedabad: The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has finally lodged a complaint against self-styled godman Asaram Bapu and his men for illegally running his ashram in Chandkheda.

A case has been lodged against him under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act.

The case was lodged after the Surat police unearthed a conspiracy by his son Narayan Sai to pay a Rs 13-crore bribe to weaken their case four months ago, the ED officials said.

The ED has been investigating the money laundering angle after the Surat police recovered Rs 8 crore in cash from different people associated with Asaram (72), who is currently lodged in a Jodhpur jail in connection with a sexual assault  case, and his son Narayan Sai.

On Friday,  the ED finally lodged a formal complaint against Asaram and his people for running his ashrams in India, they said.

Since the cash recovered by the Surat police remained unaccounted for, the ED believed that Asaram and his ashrams are allegedly involved in money laundering activities through their network in and outside India.

Sources said ED officials may conduct search operations at Asaram's ashram in Ahmedabad as well as other places to find out the source of their income, who gave them the money, how such transactions are made and who else are involved in transferring such huge amounts of cash.

Since Asaram's empire stretches beyond Indian boundaries, sources have also revealed that the ED may extend their probe under the Foreign Exchange Management Act (FEMA).

In February, the Surat police filed a chargesheet in a special court against Sai and eight others, charging them under the Prevention of Corruption Act, for allegedly conspiring to bribe police and judicial officials to weaken a rape case lodged against him.

आसाराम के खिलाफ चल रहे बलात्कार मामले में एक गवाह पर दो अज्ञात लोगों ने रविवार को तेजाब से हमला किया. आसाराम और उनके पुत्र के खिलाफ चल रहे बलात्कार के मामले के गवाहों पर यह तीसरा तेजाब हमला था.
पुलिस उपायुक्त शोभा भुटदा ने बताया, ‘वेसु इलाके में दो लोगों ने आसाराम के खिलाफ चल रहे बलात्कार मामले के गवाह पर तेजाब से हमला किया.’ अधिकारी ने बताया, ‘पीड़ित की पहचान दिनेश सिंधी (39) के रूप में हुई है. इसने मामले में आसाराम के खिलाफ गवाही दी है.’ उन्होंने कहा, ‘वेसु रॉयल रेसीडेंसी के पास अपने घर जा रहे दिनेश पर यह हमला हुआ. बाइक सवार दो लोगों ने उन्हें ओवरटेक किया और उनपर तेजाब फेंका.’ दिनेश को निजी अस्पताल में ले जाया गया है.
आसाराम और उनके पुत्र नारायण साई के खिलाफ चल रहे बलात्कार मामलों के गवाहों पर यह तीसरा तेजाब हमला किया गया है.
गवाहों को पुलिस सुरक्षा देने के संबंध में पूछने पर शोभा ने कहा, ‘ज्यादातर गवाहों को पुलिस सुरक्षा दी गई है लेकिन इन तीनों ने सुरक्षा लेने से मना कर दिया था.’
पुलिस जब दिनेश से पूछताछ करने अस्पताल पहुंची और दिनेश ने अपने बारे में जानकारी दी तो पुलिस भी हैरान रह गई थी क्योंकि दिनेश आसाराम का पूर्व साधक था.

28 फरवरी को नारायण साईं बलात्कार मामले की फरियादी के पति पर चाकू से जानलेवा हमला, फिर 12 मार्च को आसाराम बलात्कार मामले की गवाह के पति पर हमला और अब दिनेश पर एसिड अटैक की घटना ने शहर में दहशत का माहौल बना दिया है.
सूरत की एक महिला ने आसाराम पर आरोप लगाया है कि उन्होंने महिला को 1997 से 2006 के बीच अवैध तरीके से बंधक बनाकर रखा और बार-बार बलात्कार किया. इस दौरान महिला अहमदाबाद के बाहर स्थित आसाराम के आश्रम में रहती थी. महिला की छोटी बहन ने आसाराम के पुत्र नारायण साई के खिलाफ ऐसी ही शिकायत दर्ज करायी है.
सितंबर 2013 में गिरफ्तार किए जाने के बाद से आसाराम (72) जोधपुर की जेल में बंद है.

Acid attack on witness' aide in rape case against Asaram Bapu

Surat : Two unidentified men threw acid at an aide of one of the witnesses in the rape case against self-styled godman Asaram Bapu in Surat on Sunday.

"The victim has been identified as Dinesh Bhavchandani (39) who has given a statement against Asaram in the case," said the officer.

"The incident took place when Bhavchandani was riding to his house near Vesu Royal Residency. Two men on a bike overtook him and threw acid," she said.

He was taken to a private hospital.

Earlier, two witnesses in cases of rape against Asaram and his son Narayan Sai have been attacked.

Asked about police protection for the witnesses, the DCP said, "Most witnesses are given police protection, but these three victims had refused it."

A Surat-based woman has accused Asaram of repeated rapes and illegal confinement between 1997 and 2006 when she was living at his ashram on the outskirts of Ahmedabad. Her younger sister has lodged a similar complaint against Narayan Sai.

Asaram (72) is currently in a Jodhpur jail after being arrested in September 2013 for sexually assaulting a minor girl at his ashram there.

Jodhpur: Asaram Bapu admitted to hospital for insomnia, bodyache

 Jodhpur:  The controversial self-styled godman Asaram Bapu, who is facing charges of sexual assault, was today admitted to Ayurveda hospital in Jodhpur following complain of insomnia and body ache.

"He has been suffering from 'Anant Vaat' and was finding it difficult to move his body. We have started his treatment through 'Panch Karma' and will keep him in hospital until he recovers," said a doctor of the hospital.

Asaram had complained to the jail authorities that he had been suffering from insomnia and bodyache for quite some time, following which, the jail administration took him to the hospital at Rajasthan Ayurveda University today.

Being admitted at the hospital, Asaram did not appear in the court, where the trial of his sexual assault case had begun yesterday and the prosecution witnesses had started deposing before the court.

He, however, had appeared in the court on Wednesday but the court exempted him from appearance on health ground today.

Enforcement Directorate files PMLA, FEMA case against Asaram Bapu

AHMEDABAD: The Enforcement Directorate on Thursday filed a case under stringent provisions of the Foreign Exchange Management Act and Prevention of Money Laundering Act against self-styled godman Asaram Bapu and his son Narayan Sai.

According to official , all properties, land and 400 ashrams are to be investigated, along with all financial transactions made by the father-son duo. The case was filed by Gujarat's Enforcement Directorate office.

According to ED sources, the recent involvement of Asaram Bapu's supporter in a bribery case, where nearly Rs 13 crore was brought in to grease the palms of Surat police officials, led to the directorate upping the ante.
Narayan Sai (41) was booked in December 2013 for allegedly trying to bribe Surat Police and other officials for support to weaken the case against his father and him. Both are facing charges of sexual exploitation and rape.
Ahmedabad's Enforcement Directorate also filed a case against Dharmendra Gandhi under the PMLA for a Rs 25-crore fraud concerning Ahmedabad People's Cooperative Bank. Sources say two of Gandhi's bunglows in Satellite Area were attached on Thursday. Investigation into the Rs 380-crore ponzi scheme against Abhay Gandhi has also been started.
